One day before June 22nd protest, the leader of Self-Determination
movement, Albin Kurti, encouraged Kosovo citizens to participate.
He mentioned three kinds of robberies that are being committed by Kosovo government representatives, such as manipulations with tenders, with public enterprises and agreements with Serbia that tend to steal Kosovo territory.
Kurti says that the protest will be calm and the protesters will symbolically demonstrate with their empty pockets hanged out. Slogans and chants will be part of the protest.
Asked by Top-Channel about the declarations of the government representatives who said that instead of offences, the opposition must offer alternatives, Kurti said that the only alternative is that of not stealing.
As for the two week postponement of the interpellation with the Kosovo Prime Minister, Kurti declared that it is a sign of fear.
The 22 June protest under the motto “Against the thieves” will be joined by different syndicates and associations in Kosovo. Self-Determination declared that Kosovo Police was notified for the protest that will be held this Wednesday.
