Dozens of State Police officers entered the “Santa Quaranta” complex in Saranda, owned by the Balili family.

The Court of Serious Crimes has seized the assets of this family, such as the Santa Quaranta hotel, 28,690 square meters, 36 apartment s and shops with a total surface of 2178 square meters.

These assets will be administered by the Ministry of Finances.

The Police invite anyone who has information for identifying other assets owned by Balili to call the authorities, guaranteeing their anonymity.

Klement Balili, former Chief of the Transportation Directory in Saranda, is still on the run for more than one year. He is wanted by the Greek and Albanian authorities for drug traffic.

Balili became known last year when an investigation between US  DEA and Greek authorities considered him as the head of a criminal organization that was moving strong drugs from Albania to Greece and then in EU countries.
