Head of Tirana municipality, Edi Rama, visited Tirana’s neighborhoods covered by Municipal Division no. 3, meeting local residents and merchants.
“Congratulations, you are the winner!” one resident said to him.
“The winner will not be me, but the people who have thousands of problems and that cannot escape from poverty and unemployment”, Rama declared.
Putting forward the new municipal projects for the city, Rama did not spare the irony against his political opponent.
“One man said once to me: ‘Our problem is that Ilir Meta is neither opposition, nor position. He is deposition.’ You have to close the deposit, it’s in your hand”, Rama joked.
“They are cutting off water and energy, leaving us in an awful state”, said an elderly person.
“On May 8th you should ask him to respond on water, energy, pensions, medicine prices and the killings, thefts and corruption”, Rama emphasized.
According to the opposition, Basha should firstly respond for the failures, corruption and January 21st killings, before trying to open an electoral campaign in Albania’s capital.
