Opposition leader, Edi Rama, expressed his concern for the votes
contested by the Central Election Commission, which, according to him,
is totally against the law.

Rama emphasized that his victory is undisputable and has been confirmed by the international factor.

“I express my concern on what happened today and on what might happen tomorrow, after this illegal vote count through the Central Election Commission. The representatives of the International Community saw and heard very well that we won the elections. A clear victory, although with only 10 votes ahead”, Rama declared.

According to him, the election manipulation, which has as author the Prime Minister, has started on May 8th, when Berisha asked the Socialist Party to accept the result.

“There’s e great difference in votes between us and our rival. Berisha asked me to accept the result, before the elections, on the Election Day and after. They asked me to accept the result. But people’s vote divided us on May 8th, showing our victory and Berisha’s loss”, Rama declared.

“This clear victory has made us the greatest political force in the country, with a great difference in votes. This victory has made us even more humble in front of our people, our national interests. Being aware of this, our message was of opening a new political page for the country”, he continued.

“The opposition leader accused the Prime Minister of creating through the Central Election Commission an illegal overturn, for imposing his regime over Albania.

“Berisha chose to reject the result and to make an illegal overturn. There’s nothing worse for a country that deserves more. The country is ruled by an insolent politics that has returned into a regime. Under the rule of Berisha, the Central Election Commission has turned into the Theft Commission”, Rama emphasized.

He also added that the Prime Minister Berisha, by using the votes that he consideres invalid, is changing the result in a violent way, imposing his regime on the Albanian society.

“The Central Election Commission stole the result and brought hell against the human and citizens rights. This violent overturn endangers our society’s stability, which doesn’t accept to become part of this government’s regime. The Albanian democracy is coming to an end, and the citizens are facing a system of violence, injustice and corruption”, Rama declared.
