The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, declared that the decision to not decree the firing of the Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, and replacing him with his Deputy, Genti Cakaj, is still being discussed.
Since the new Ministers are not political choices, coming from the Parliament, there is a process undergoing for verifying their integrity.
“All new names that will be promoted as Ministers will go through the verification of their integrity so that we can respect the Ministry as a very important constitutional institution”, Meta declared.
