The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, received Robert Benjamin, Director for Central-Eastern-Europe at hte National Democratic Institute.
Meta welcomed the possibilities that NDI offers Albanian youth to excel with their individuality as future leaders.
The President underlined the importance of investing for qualified youth, so that they can stay in Albania as an asset that needs to be cultivated for the future.
The Albanian Head of State praised the active involvement of NDI with the reform for political parties’ finances, through dialogue and independent monitoring of the civil society. Meta said that they hoped for a growth of financial transparency and of the integrity of political parties.
President Meta and Director Benjamin spoke about recent developments in the region and the importance of the civil society in each country and for the region itself.
