President demands investigation for Cakaj’s Security Certification

The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, asked the Parliament Speaker, Gramoz Ruci, top establish an Investigative Parliamentary Committee as there is strong suspicion about the procedure how Gent Cakaj, the Prime Minister’s candidate for Foreign Minister, received the Certification of Security from the Directory of Classified Information.
The Directory has clarified that they have made the proper examinations, which showed that Cakaj was not dangerous, and his certification was given to him based on the law.
The Democratic Party, in the meanwhile, is collecting signatures to start the investigation committee.
