As the police vetting procedure has started, 2000 police officers risk losing their jobs for not being able to complete the application in time.
The Police Union filed a request at the Interior Ministry, arguing that the withdrawal of all required documents demands time and also financial costs for their familes.
The officers will have to provide documents proving their bank transactions, their travel history abroad, proof of education costs for their children, etc.
