Opposition Deputy, Damian Gjiknuri, declared that the Central Election
Commission is issuing an illegal decision that contradicts the Election
Code.
He emphasized that Socialist Party deputies are standing at the Central Election Commission meeting room to make people aware that the result is being changed.
“The decision that they want to take is illegal and not provided by the Election Code. They want to count when the vote counting is over. The only duty remaining at the Central Election Commission is to officially announce the Election result, the tabulation and the arithmetic conclusion of the result”, Gjiknuri declared.
“CEC is issuing an order that is not based on the law, and is totally political. They are changing the rules in the middle of the game. How can CEC dare change the result without announcing it beforehand? Let them announce the result first, and everyone’s objections can be scrutinized. But not at this phase. The result cannot come on the discussion tables, because the result is over,” he underlined.
The next CEC meeting is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00.
