Albania and Montenegro enjoy excellent relations, but the maritime border is still an unresolved issue.
Presidents Ilir Meta and Vujanovic said that this is a technical matter that will not influence the relations between both countries.
The border with Kosovo, on the other hand, is very sensible. Vujanovic said that on their side, this is a closed matter, but they are watching over internal matters of Kosovo with patience.
“We want Kosovo citizens to have the Schengen visa regime lifted, We have never made any declaration to influence on this matter, because it is an internal matter of Kosovo that will be resolved in Kosovo, as it should”, Vujanovic declared.
President Meta said that Albania wishes to see good will in Kosovo between all political actors to find a solution on this matter, which is for the best of both countries, but especially for Kosovo, since it is conditioned with the visa liberalization.
