Lezhë Castle, new discoveries

Archaeological studies uncovered massive graves and other essential
objects that indicate the ancient culture of the town of Lezhe.

After four days of excavations in “Qafa e Kalase”, archaeologists discovered the human remains of a common grave and the ruins of a church. The dating period is not yet specified.

The researchers of the National Center of Discoveries in France declared that these objects are very important.

Luc Buchet, one of the foreign archaeologists said that these discoveries will revive the cultural inheritance of the city of Lezhe, because this is the second church that has been uncovered in this area.

The Mayor if Lezhe declared that this discovery and the new road that is being built will attract many tourists.

The archaeologists, who are continuing the excavations, say that they expect to uncover new objects.
