Architects from Korça have accused the Mayor Niko Peleshi that the city center
Master Plan is destroying the cultural heritage of
the southeastern city.
“I am not an architect, but I am the one who has to guarantee a process. I am against high and chaotic buildings of the past, which we have refused for four years, stopping them from ruining our tradition.
He explains that this Master Plan is undergoing a competition with international architectural studios and has been voted in public, and now is being consulted by the Architect Association of Korçe.
“The Master Plan guarantees the protection of the cultural heritage and a process that will avoid high buildings”, he said.
Peleshi guarantees that he will not allow the construction of high buildings in the city of Korça, infringing the cultural inheritance.
