In a small town near Vicenze, the Italian Police has made a strange
discovery: they found a fake Albanian consulate of honor. The Albanian
flag had been waving for some time from that building, raising suspicions to
the Police, which was not aware of any Albanian consulate in that
territory.
After thorough investigations, the Police discovered that there was a consul of honor who was “serving his diplomatic duty”. The 31 year old Italian citizen Massimiliano Niccolini tried to stop the Italian police from entering the building by warning them that it was a diplomatic premise. The police found Albanian flags, documents in both languages and the logo of the fake consulate.
Two Albanian trainees were also working in the office, adding one more accusation to the fake consul of honor. Despite embezzlement, he will respond for favoring clandistine emigration and for exploiting labor forces.
The prosecution is investigating to find out if Massimiliano Niccolini has used his fake title for any fraud.
