Well-known infections physician Arjan Harxhi, chief of the infections department at the Tirana University medical faculty, recommends how we can individually protect ourselves from the novel coronavirus.
He says the first recommendation is not to create panic and stresses personal hygiene as a very important measure.
“At this time it is best not to greet each other by kissing, despite the love for each other”, says Harxhi, recommending that we also avoid contact with animals, although no transmission of the virus from them has been proven. He adds that a healthy diet rich in vitamin C would be an added measure.
“No case of coronavirus has been reported in Albania but although we expect to have them, we should only consult professional health sites and not social networks or other panic spreading entities”, he adds.
