Ilir Meta life threats, a mystery

The media reported that during this period, the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, a former left centered party now allied with the ruling right wing party, has received life threats and has asked protection. But what do the leaders of the structures who order RENEA Special Forces to land on the “Gjiri i Lalzit” say?

When contacted by Top-Channel, all high-rank police officers declared that they were not aware of such threats, and they also declared that they have no information that RENEA Special agents are actually at “Gjiri i Lalzit” bay.

Other RENEA officers also confirm that they have no information of having their agents on duty at that area.

When asked that people have seen RENEA agents out there, police officials ironically replied that they might have been on holidays or on training.

Top-Channel had a phone conversation with General Prosecution leaders, who also declared that Ilir Meta has not reported of receiving any life threat.

The mystery goes even further when bigger leaders of the Prosecution and the Serious Crimes Court denied of having recorded any report by the former Deputy Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, the press and internet media have been saying that Ilir Meta has been under RENEA protection, due to phone calls that threatened his life.

This information has been transmitted to the public even earlier, in the first days of August, but without any wide effect on the public.

In the midst of these mysterious voices, the vice leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Edmond Haxhinasto declared that Ilir Meta is doing his functions in the party quite normally.

“We think that this news is speculation. The head of the Socialist Movement for Integration is the one who leads SMI every day, in front of us, now that we have more important issues, such as the electoral reform”, Haxhinasto declared.

While SMI calls this news speculation, the prosecution and the police is not aware or deny that Ilir Meta has been threatened, the question that remains unanswered is why RENEA Special Forces are still staying on “Gjiri i Lalzit” bay?

Who ordered these agents to go there and if Meta has been threatened, and if this threat is true, why is it secret and why haven’t the investigations started?
