After meeting with the cabinet members of the Albanian government, Commissioner Hahn and the Albanian Prime Minister responded to journalists in a joint press conference.
A matter that spurred many debates in Albania was whether the EU accession negotiations were open for our country without further conditions.
Hahn underlined there will be no other conditions, but he said the implementation of reforms should not be stopped. On the contrary, it should be accelerated.
“We are not talking about new conditions, but about an analytic period in which the country’s legislation will be reviewed. This process has been applied in all member countries and will still be applied in the future. The only request I have is that you shouldn’t think about going on holiday, but keep implementing the reforms”, Hahn declared.
