Government, 1.2 billion EUR in PPP infrastructure projects

The government will offer 1.2 billion EUR of contracts for Public-Private-Partnership projects for the next year. The Ministry of Finances published the full list of works.

There are eight major projects, most of which in road infrastructure. The biggest contract is the building of the Kashar-Rrogozhina road.

According to the government, this will cost 310 million EUR and the purpose is to have it built through private funds.

The second biggest agreement will be the construction and operation of the Tirana-Thuman-Vora axis.

Based on preliminary calculations, this road will cost 257 million EUR. Third on the list is the Arber Road, which will cost 180 million EUR.

Three other important road infrastructure projects are the Milot-Balldren, Orikum-Himara, Kardhiq-Delvina.

So far, the almost finalized projects are the construction of 20 new schools in Tirana and the Arber Road.
