Gjoncaj: CEC deforming result

“CEC is continuing to add other illegal decisions. They are continuing to add numbers in favour of Lulzim Basha, with an illegal procedure”, Gjoncaj declared.

According to him, CEC has no competences for doing this, because CEC is an institution that must be based on the vote counting offered by the Zonal Election Commissions.

“CEC cannot change the result on their table at this phase. They are changing the summaries of the counted votes by the counting groups. The procedure is a new norm that is violating the Election Code right at the end of the vote counting process, due to a result that does not satisfy the governing party”, Gjoncaj added.

“CEC is acting on a model created by the Democratic Party. This process not only infringes the law, but it is not transparent, because the Opposition representatives do not have the normative act by CEC. CEC cannot exert competences that the law has given only to the Zonal Election Commission. CEC is touching the ballot papers, but is hurrying so much that is clearly showing the Albanians that this is a strategy that has been previously prepared by the Democratic Party and CEC”, he declared.

The Socialist Commissioner added that what attracts the attention is the discrepancy between the total ballot papers number with the total voters number, and also the inconsistency of the codes in the ballot boxes, which are different to the codes that have been signed by the counting commissions.
