Three German tourists were saved yesterday in Dhermi by Albanian Coast
Guards and Italian Guardia di Finanza, while sailing with a yacht 5
miles far from Dhermi, in the so called “yellow line”.

The yacht was having technical problems, and the tourists released the SOS signal that was caught by the Albanian Control Center in Durres, which started the rescue operation.

Fortunately, the Albanian motorboats arrived in time, saving the three tourists.

With the arrival of the Italian Guardia di Finanza, both authorities tried to save the yacht, but it sank.

The three German tourists were sent in the Vlore port, while investigations are undergoing for the technical problems that caused the yacht to sink.
