Albania has invited the Macedonian authorities to end the problems
created with the education in the Albanian language in Macedonia. The
Albanian ambassador in Skopje, Arben Cejku, expressed the concerns of Tirana to the Macedonian Deputy Minister of Education, Safet
Neziri, regarding the problems that the Albanian students are facing.

“I expressed my concern for the problem that was created at the Karposh commune, for the 16 Albanian students who were refused to be registered in this school. That class became a sacrifice of the political war. I cannot leave without saying a bitter truth that for 200.000 Albanians in Skopje there is only one high school. The behavior reminiscent to the former Yugoslavia must end”, declared Arben Ceku, Albanian ambassador in Macedonia.

The Ambassador Cejku reacted for the school texts that offend the Albanians. He also asked a new publishing of the Macedonian Encyclopedia with a correction of the lies against the Albanians.

“We asked for these errors and provocations in the school texts to come to an end. I heard the Deputy Prime Minister saying that the history text has been corrected. I also want to publicly ask that the old encyclopedia should be followed by a newer one, with corrected information, and the circulation of the old one should stop”, the ambassador declared.

The Albanian diplomat added that the Macedonians must respect the identity of the Albanians, same as Albania recognizes and respects their identity and culture.
