EC: result to be announced as soon as possible

“This is the stance of the European Commission on Albania. Maybe all of you have seen the pre-election revolt that happened this morning. The European Union appeals and encourages all interested groups, may they be political, individuals, institutional and especially the Central Election Commission to keep the same constructive atmosphere that prevailed on the Election Day. They must respect the rules and exert self-restraint. All steps must be taken inside the institutions and in full accordance with the laws of the country. The result of these elections must be announced as quickly as possible”, said the Spokesperson of the European Commission, Natasha Butler.
