The vote counting process in Zonal Election Commission no 8, for the
Durres Municipality, is also doing a very slow work. A few vote counters are
currently working, but many others have interrupted their work.
15 of the 165 voting centers have been counted up to now, resulting with 3576 votes for the Socialist Candidate, Vangjush Dako, and 3318 votes for the Democratic Party candidate, Ferdinand Xhaferraj.
The difference is 258 votes, but this result is preliminary, because there are 150 other voting centers to be counted.
According to most recent information, 10 of the 15 counted voting centers belong to the “Durres Beach” area, previously won by the Democratic Party, today having the Socialist Party on the lead.
Other vote counts belong to the Shkozet area, known as a Socialist Party stronghold.
