Dule, critics about population registration

The first phase of population registration “Census 2011” has received a
series of critics by Vangjel Dule, leader of the United for Human Rights
Party, only seven weeks after this process started.

Same as in the press conference of some weeks ago, when the Parliament was discussing the controversial law, Dule emphasized that this is a right that belongs to every society.

“We have regrettably noted that the recent amends of “Census 2011” abrogate the essential right of self-declaration. This right is penalized and at the same time they are violating the principle of confidentiality for this Census. As result, such a registration cannot fulfill the European standards”, Dule declared.

When asked by Top-Channel in what phase are the efforts for unifying the Greek Minority, as declared some months ago, Dule answered:

“We are systematically trying to unify the political representation of the Greek ethnic minority. The instruments, the tools that Mr. Berisha uses by generously investing with important administrative seats and by offering abusive opportunities are not and can never be a representation of the Greek Minority. We are speaking about the unification of healthy voices”, Dule declared.

As for the post-local-elections developments, Dule, as leader of an opposition party, declared that “Berisha made a spectacular vote theft in front of the sleepy opposition and international community”.

When asked about Nard Ndoka’s idea that the allies of the unified opposition should support the candidacy of President Bamir Topi for the Presidential Election, Vangjel Dule declared that this should be the last concern for the Albanian parties. According to him, Albania is not lacking of candidate names, but of functioning institutions.
