The Democratic Party accused the Socialist Party of intentionally blocking the official result for the municipality of Tirana.
“At Zonal Election Commission 49, Municipality Unit 5, the Socialist Party vote counters and their secretary have taken the stamp and have left their duty. They returned today at 16:00, refusing any kind of action and postponed the process for tomorrow”, declared the spokesperson for the Democratic Party, Albana Mustafaraj.
According to her, the Socialist commissioners and vote counters have tried even other methods to manipulate the result, which, according to the Democratic Party, shows their candidate Lulzim Basha as winner.
“They tried to tear up the ballot papers that were found in another box and which belonged to the Democratic Party. SP also wants to postpone the Central Election decision”, Mustafaraj added.
