Prime Minister Sali Berisha presented the candidate of “Alliance for the Citizen” for Mayor of Shijak, Afrim Brahimaj, who aims to take the municipality currently led by Socialists.

“It is time for this city to be reborn, for your voice to be heard. Join me for our victory, for the victory of the citizens”, Brahimaj said.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that the candidates of “Alliance for the Citizen” represent the coalition that has kept its promises, not only by liberalizing visas, but also by building an economy that the European Commission considers as an economy with the biggest growth in Europe.

“The truth for Albania, Brussels says, is that the economy is not in development, but it is running. Decreased unemployment and increased wages! We stand for this alternative”, Berisha declared.

According to the Prime Minister, Shijak has paved 16 kilometers of roads in four years with the funds given by the central government, 4 kilometers more than the total kilometers paved in Tirana in four years.

Avoiding any comeback to Rama’s daily accusations of bad governing, Berisha’s message for the opposition leader was very brief.

“I want to tell Mr. Rama that the language of every nation has a rubbish bin for inappropriate words. Anyone can put the hand inside that bin. You keep on using them… but we will not”, Berisha emphasized.
