Cyclists organize event for Car-Free Day in Tirana

September 22nd is the World Car-Free Day. Its purpose is to raise awareness among citizens to use less motoric vehicles and walk more often.
To mark this day, a group of citizens have organized a bicycle riding event. The youngest participants are eight years old, the oldest 60. The ride will start at the Presidency and will continue up to the Artificial Lake.
This event aims to promote the benefits of cycling in health and for the city’s environment.
The city now has more bicycle lanes, but not everyone likes the idea. Some complain that the roads are narrower for the traffic: “They shoul have resolved the traffic problem before bringing bicycles”, a citizen says.
Others, though, think it differently.
