The Italian Democratic Party, soon after receiving the news for the victory of Edi Rama, declared:
“The strong electoral proof for Tirana, which the Albanian Prime
Minister himself had considered as a decisive test for early elections,
showed the victory of the European socialist community, the victory of
the Albanian Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama. This confirms the success
of the Albanian Socialist Party in these local administrations”.
“We congratulate Edi Rama, and hope that Albania will soon confirm early elections, in order to give the people of Albania another chance”.
