The chairman of the Central Election Commission, Arben Ristani, demanded
from the commissioners in the voting centers where there are still
citizens to collect the identity cards and to enable them to vote even
after 19:00.
“Many voting centers are still full of people who are waiting to vote. I hope that the commissioners allow them to vote. All the citizens that are waiting in queues should fulfill their civil duty in these elections”, Ristani declared.
CEC Chairman emphasized that the commissioners should respect the law and if there will be infringements, they should take all necessary measures.
In Përmet, voting center 4155 has sent the ballot boxes at the Zonal Election Center 10 minutes before the closing deadline.
Subashi: Only people in queues should vote
Vice Chair of the Central Election Commission, Dëshira Subashi, declared that the people that have not been in queues at 19:00, cannot vote anymore.
Subashi asked the commissions to follow this procedure.
She notified that this process must end as soon as possible, in order to start the important vote counting process that will be followed by the announcement of the preliminary reports.
