Socialist Party candidate at the Ishëm commune has been threatened by
firearms and then his car has been shot twice by the 29 year old
Shkëlzen Keqi and the 45 year old Hamdi Pasha, both residents of
Thumana.

According to the Vlore Chief of Police, the car was shot when it was parked, without any person inside. The authors have been identified by the police.

“We denounce that these violent acts do not serve to this campaign. We appeal all political forces to distance themselves from these acts”, said Gentian Bejko, local leader of the Socialist Party in Durres.

Another similar event has happened in Saranda, where the Socialist Party candidate, Stefan Çipa, has sued two persons who have threatened him with firearms, pointing it to his face, while earlier they had threatened his family.

The Vlore Police announces that they have started the investigations for both citizens.

The Police announcement has caused dissatisfaction for the supporters of the Socialist candidate, who protested in front of the Saranda police department.

One night before, another event took place in Roskovec. One relative of the Socialist candidate sued the brother of the Democratic Party candidate over violence.

The suit has had the support of local Socialist Party leaders.
