Prime Minister Sali Berisha continued the electoral campaign at the city of Lushnje, supporting Arben Sanxhaku.

For the first time in this election process, the head of the government appealed for calm and for a civilized electoral campaign. The Democratic Party leader said that the citizens need concrete projects and alternatives.

“I am here today to appeal everyone to hold an election process that focuses on the civilized behavior and to avoid any tension or clashes. Let us perform the most civilized campaign, the one of true values. Parallel to our campaign there is the campaign of ‘the only way’, the campaign of libel and revenge that has nothing to do with your interests and your families. Mr. Rama, the citizens need concrete projects, so let us transform this election campaign into the campaign of alternatives. Let them choose not through offences, which only indicate their deep desperation because of the poor visions they have, but also due to the lack of respect for the citizens”, Berisha said.

The head of the government made several promises, pointing out the government investments of the last years.

Berisha promised to invest in the infrastructure, and emphasized that Lushnje will soon have running water 24/7.

“The government will support any project that comes from Mr. Arben Sanxhaku and from your commune leaders, for the improvement of your life and for making possible that your sweat and hard work receives the deserved recompense. We will do everything so that the next four years will transform Lushnje into a modern epicenter. We will do everything to transform this city into a real center. We will make Lushnje one of the most important touristic centers”, Berisha said.

“During these years, the government has invested in your city 14 times more than the socialist government. We have built 200 km of roads, 103 of which are national roads and 107 rural. On the next four years you will not be able to find one single kilometer of unpaved road. We have built 27 schools. On the next four years we will build all the schools that Lushnje needs. Lushnje with running water 24/7 is the motto of the four years to come”, Berisha emphasized.

“The citizens have voted and they know for whom they voted. You can say that the Mayor is Berisha, but they want projects and solutions. They are expecting May 8th, to give you the end that you deserve. I guarantee you that we will have a close cooperation with the Lushnje citizens, so that you might enjoy the best services, so that the touristic Lushnje will turn into a strong generator of wellbeing for every Albanian family”, Berisha concluded.
