Prime Minister Sali Berisha met local leaders of Democratic Party in Elbasan. The 20 minutes meeting was held this Monday, behind closed doors.
Inner sources say that during his speech, the Prime Minister Sali Berisha considered the decision of choosing Durim Hushi as the candidate for Mayor of Elbasan, as an obligation for the Democratic Party.
According to him, this obligation comes after Durim Hushi’s vote for the actual President of Albania, saving the country from a political crisis.
Berisha demanded the Democratic Party local structures to correctly implement the Election Code, since the elections will be watched by 400 observers.
Sources say that the victory or the loss of Durim Hushi during these elections is a responsibility of the Democratic Party structures.
He demanded that electoral commissions and structures must work by contacting with every citizen.
In Elbasan, Democratic Party has agreed to support the Socialist Movement for Integration candidate.
Berisha said during this meeting that before 2012, the new Mayor of Elbasan will inaugurate the Tirana-Elbasan tunnel.
Berisha did not forget to attack Edi Rama even on this event, mentioning with irony that the Socialists’ leader is allying in the coalition the Party of Labor.
