Invited at Tirana’s Forum for Economic Freedom, organized by the Pashko European Institution, the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, said that the last five years of Albania’s economy were a lost time.

This, according to Basha, is proven by the lack of foreign investments, a panorama that he says is different from that of other Balkan countries: “There has been no new foreign investment in Albania for the past five years. The Serbian government is giving 9.5 million EUR to Serbian taxpayers for encouraging investment”, Basha declared.

The Democratic Party leader accused the government of not only failing to keep the promise for reducing the public debt but also for increasing it through PPP agreements. “They boast about reducing the cost of Euro in ALL, saying that they have reduced the debt”, Basha declared.
