Barroso, this Friday in Tirana

This Friday on May 20th, the president of the European Commission, Jose
Manuel Barroso will visit Tirana accompanied by the EU Commissioner for
Enlargement, Stefan Fule.

The Albanian President will be the first to meet the high-rank EU officials, and after him they will meet the Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the Opposition Leader Edi Rama.

The head of the European Commission will address a speech to the Albanian deputies in the house of Parliament. Motivated by the situation created after the Central Elections of 2009 and the current situation, the President of the European Commission will appeal all Albanian political forces to collaborate in the Parliament.

“Barroso will ask the political parties to work without obstacles on the necessary reforms and challenges that the country is facing, giving an end to the prolonged stalemate and creating an all-inclusive environment with all parties sharing the same priority of Albania’s EU integration”, said for Top Channel sources of the Barroso cabinet.
