Klement Balili is being held in Tirana, waiting to hear his hearing session, in which the court will decide whether he will await trial in prison.
The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has filed the investigation case against him.
Top Channel’s sources said that it is not clear if Balili was arrested or if he handed himself over.
The Police says Balili handed himself over after the Chief of Police negotiated with one of his relatives.
Balili is suspected od hiding assets, money laundering, international drug traffic and participation in a criminal organization.
