Arvizu: Vote counted with integrity

US Ambassador in Albania, Alexander Arvizu, continued yesterday the
meetings with the Albanian leaders. After the Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the
Opposition Leader Edi Rama, Arvizu met the candidate of the Democratic
Party for the Tirana Municipality, Lulzim Basha, in one of the bars at
former “Bllok”.
He congratulated Basha for the campaign and asked both parties to be patient and to address only to legal procedures.
“Mr. Basha managed a brilliant campaign, something to be remembered. Not many people expected this result, and it is not over yet”, Arvizu declared.
“I met Berisha, Rama and Basha, and all of them are hardly waiting. I think that it is important to focus on the legal process, because there is a legal base for everyone. People must be patient. I don’t know who the winner is, and no one can know it. However, the vote counting process was done with integrity. Let us see the positive side of it”, US ambassador added.
