During his visit in the United Kingdom, the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, met with the British Minister for Europe, Sir Alan Duncan.
“Albania believes that the engagement of the Great Britain in Western Balkans is indispensable even after Brexit”, Meta said, “Your country has had a key role in the region’s stability for decades.”
Minister Duncan and President Meta shared similar stances on the recent developments in the region, such as the historic progress of Northern Macedonia and the importance of the Kosovo Serbia dialogue.
Minister Duncan guaranteed President Meta that Great Britain will keep being present in Albania and in the region, with the purpose to consolidate democracy and the rule of law.
