Albanian athlete, Luiza Gega, gave a fantastic performance during the 3000 meters hurdle race finals for women, at the European Championship, held in Berlin. However, she couldn’t climb the podium.
The 29-year-old athlete was ranked fourth, although she held the lead during the entire race. She gave up only in the last minutes.
Gega expressed her regret on social networks, saying that she was expecting something more, but fate was not by her side.
However, she has many reasons to be proud of. Her performance during this year has been fantastic. She not only won a gold medal at the 3000 hurdle race for the Mediterranean Games, but she also broke a national record.
