Albania demands Albert Veliu’s extradition from Kosovo

He is the man who accused the Interior Minister’s brother of being involved in drug traffic. For this, he and the Democratic Party published an audio surveillance. The ruling socialists sent the recording for verification and after being reported that it was a forged audio, they filed a criminal lawsuit at the Prosecution.

Veliu was in Kosovo in the meantime, asking for political asylum. He is currently allowed to be free by the Prishtina Court, until the extradition trial. The Kosovo authorities have not decided yet about this request.
