The Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, said that they have started a communication campaign with partner countries to fulfill this objective of Albania’s foreign policy.

“Albania comes with its own ambition in these talks because we are looking for a non-permanent place at the Security Council for the 2022-2023 period. We have just started our communication campaign with our partners and countries that recognize Albania and that don’t know enough about us”, he said.

Bushati is attending the 73rd UN Assembly in New York. For this year, the theme of the general debate will be, ‘Making the United Nations Relevant to All People: Global Leadership and Shared Responsibilities for Peaceful, Equitable and Sustainable Societies.’

The Minister said that the session is being held in a very important moment when multilateralism and cooperation are being questioned as never before around the world.
