A delegation of German MPs, from the subcommission for preventing crimes, led by Ottmar Von Heltz, from the German Green party, explained for DW what they expected from their visit in Serbia and Kosovo.
“My impression is that there is a large part of the population, especially among the younger ones, who are tired of the war rhetoric and of the warlords of the 90s. They want to look forward to the future. I believe that to facilitate this tension and to establish peace between Kosovo and Serbia, it must be very clear what the population needs, such as the rule of law, new jobs, education, etc”, he sai.
Von Holtz added that Germany hopes that the elections have produced important changes that could avoid the blockade between Serbia and Kosovo.
