The institution of statistics reported that unemployment increased with 0.2% in the third trimester of the year.
From 17.3% that it was by the end of June, now it has reached 17.5%.|
Instat show that the economy has created 20.630 new jobs from September 2014 to September 2015. But this pace has not been enough to cover the unemployed.
September coincides with the informality operation. The Ministry of Finances declared that due to tax controls in September and October, the number of formally employed citizens was increased with 73.000 people. But this is not seen in the unemployment, which covers only September and not October.
The Ministry say that the creation of 73.000 new jobs in September and October comes only from administrative sources.
This shows once again the difficulties of the economy to produce new jobs quickly. Unemployment among youth from 15 to 29 is 32%.
