The Municipality of Tirana offers its solidarity to Athens and a modest financial assistance for facing the consequences left behind by the devastating fires.
Mayor Veliaj proposed the Municipal Council to offer 50,000 EUR for Athens, underlining that this modest assistance will help coping with the consequences of the natural disaster.
“I am proud of our fellow Albanians who should solidarity to our neighbours in these difficult days. I visited Athens just a few weeks ago, where I met with my counterpart and we discussed how our cities could increase cooperation. I offered my colleague our condolences and this modest financial assistance”, Veliaj said.
