In 2009, the Albanian government passed a law that created the Audit
Agency of Assistance Programs accredited by the European Union.

During this time there have been legal gaps and the lacking of a clear managing structure.

The government corrected yesterday the decision of three years ago, deciding that the head of the three members that will audit the foreign programs will be approved directly by the Prime Minister.

This managing council has the duty to evaluate, to monitor and give an opinion for the strategic and annual programs, for periodical and annual reports, for the financial overviews and for the way the agencies with function, beside other issues.
