The National Security Council will meet this Saturday, summoned by President Bujar Nishani regarding the terrorist threat.

The meeting was summoned at 19:00.

The last meeting of this council was in January 17th, a meeting focused on the need to increase cooperation between the security institutions. PM Rama promised then to establish the National Center of Security.

The need for this council meeting came after the reports for a serious terrorist threat in Albania.

Although the Albanian authorities say there is no concrete threat for our country, security measures have increased. Special police and anti-terror forces are seen in every institution,24/7.

The first terrorist threat was sent to the e-mail of the Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, after the attacks in Paris.

Tahiri was threatened by an address named “Red Brigades”. The Secret Service Director, Visho Ajazi, held meetings with the state leaders.
