The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, declared that by repealing the decree for June 30th, he has avoided a possible conflict between parties, which was being encouraged by foreign factors, not by Albanian politicians.
“A destabilizing conflict could have been provoked on June 8th. My decisions was taken in full responsibility, because some groups, outside and inside the country, have tried to use June 8th for acts that could damage the public order and leave room to the political parties for blaming each other”, Meta said.
