Opposition leader: “People get poorer, government richer. Only in Albania”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, met this Wednesday with the residents of Lapardha, Velabisht and Ura Vajgurore.
The residents of and traders of these areas complained about lower income with their businesses.
The opposition leader said that Albania is the only country in Europe where the people gets poorer and the government gets richer.
“Thousands of families have as main concern how to meet ends. They depend from a small group of people who have built palaces, villas and pools, with huge bank accounts”, Basha said.
The DP leader was updated with the concerns of residents about lower government investments and higher taxes. Basha underlined that the Albanian government has stolen 400 EUR per capita from the Albanian people, and 1.2 billion EUR have been taken as loans without making any investment.
“We are in this situation because of bad governance, the cooperation of this government with crime and corruption”, Basha said.
By reminding the residents of the unkept government promises before they took power, such as free health care and 300.000 new jobs, Basha aded that the only purpose of this government is to steal.
“Stealing is not a reform, but just robbery”, Basha said.
