The number of people infected with the new Covid-19 coronavirus in Albania is now 23, while another 8 people have tested positive in the last 24 hours.
The Ministry of Health said that of the new cases 2 were located in Durres, 2 in Elbasan, 1 in Rrogozhina and 3 in Tirana.
“Over the last 24 hours, 145 suspected cases have been tested, out of the 298 in total and so far only 23 cases resulted positive for COVID-19,” the announcement said.
The announcement was made public during the daily briefing by Deputy Health Minister Mira Rakacolli.
5 infected cases are being treated in the Infectious Disease Hospital in Tirana (3 cases related to the first patient identified with COVID-19, a 31 year old resident in Tirana, with travel history with Italy and a 45 year old woman from Rrogozhina, with travel history with Italy). Their situation is stabilized up to this moment. Meanwhile 18 other suspected cases are self-isolated at home without particular problems.
