Heavy rains in North, dangers in Nation’s Road

Heavy rain precipitations that started in the past 24 hours have brought problems in the Nation’s Road.
Landslides were seen in several parts of the road, causing difficulties for drivers especially in the Kukes-Kalimash segment, which had strong winds and fog.
The maintenance companies appealed drivers to be careful due to the frequent dangerous spots this segments.
On the other side, the precipitations have improved the energy situation at the Drin CaSCADE. The Operation and Monitoring Sector at the cascade asy that the Fierza Hydropower Plant level is 290.74 meters, while the water flow stays at 500 cubic meters per second.
The rain has also caused damage in Diber, more specifically in Krajka, at the Bulqiza-Peshkopia road, where landslides have blocked one side of the road for two hours, putting drivers in danger.
