Health Minister creats investigative group after Top Channel’s “Fiks Fare” report

After Top Channel’s investigative program, “Fiks Fare”, showed the
negligence of a doctor at the Tirana University Hospital Center, who
refused to provide help to a patient and asked her to return after the
weekend, Health Minister Ilir Beqaj declared that they have created a
work group to identify the acse.
“We are identifying the case to analyze the administrative part within the emergency service and the other links of that service. We are also evaluating the ethical part and will report it to the Doctors’ Order”, the Health Minister declared.
When contacted on TV, the Head of the Doctors’ Order declared that the commission that will evaluate this situation will decide on the punishment measures, which start from fines and to revoking licenses for three years.
