Group of 18 arrested for trafficking clandestines to Europe

The Prosecution of Serious crimes has caught a criminal group that was
trafficking illegal immigrants from the Middle East. 18 persons were
arrested in total.

The Prosecution say these persons had created a line from the Middle East and North Africa, to Greece, Albania, Kosovo, Serbia, Hungary, Austria and then to Germany.

The traffickers have charged illegal immigrants 900 EUR to take them from Greece to Kosovo, or 1250 EUR to Serbia.

Many of the clandestine who were caught say that after staying in Greek camps for 6 months, they have contacted with people who would made their trip possible.

They were kept temporarily hidden in some abandoned homes in Korca, Elbasan and then in Tirana, before they would travel to Kosovo.
